Welcome to the final week of this half term.
We have shared lots more fantastic projects and the children have learnt so much from listening to each other.

In topic this week, as well as the projects, we have looked at the water cycle in detail and drawn our own including key words.  The children were able to explain the cycle to their partners.  We have looked at Monet's work in detail and practised drawing a chosen section of one of his famous paintings. This week the children will use pastels and paints to produce their own Monet for display.

The children have explored the Pentecost in RE and created role plays to portray an understanding of the many emotions the disciples must have gone through.  The children presented these role plays and they they were news reported interviewing the disciples Peter and John. This linked in very well with the wonderful mass we celebrated together on Friday and we learned about The Holy Spirit and prayed for our mothers during the month of Mary.

In English we will continue to look at adverts and use persuasive language to plan our own advert with effective slogans and logos.

We will complete more problems with decimals in Maths and develop their skills in explaining their methods and creating problems for their peers.

We are looking forward to celebrating with the Year 4 children on Friday as they make their first Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Have a wonderful holiday and we look forward to seeing you back rested and ready for more challenges on Monday 13th June.
