A fabulous week this week at St Vincent's!
Maths
We are really getting to grips with shapes and developing our understanding of lines and angles. We will continue with shape with a focus on symmetry this week.  There are 5 activities to be getting on with on My Maths. Some activities on work we are doing in class at the moment, some work we have done already and some to help with work that is coming up.
English
We continued to work on our spelling patterns, grammar and comprehension skills last week. This week we will look at features of recounts and include these and our new skills in grammar in an independent piece of writing as an evacuee writing a letter home in WW2.
All the children had a class photo taken this week with their teachers! They all looked very smart!
We were also very impressed with the quality and effort that went into the costumes for World Book Day! They all deserved house points for effort. Check out the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners below; well done to all of the children who took part!
It was lovely to see so much support for the children in church on Thursday as they embark on their programme for Communion and Confirmation. I have packs for the children who could not attend and I will pass them to the children on Monday. Anyone who hasn't brought in their Baptismal certificate could you bring it in on Monday to school so it can be photocopied and sent to church?

Thank you so much for your support
